Release: La Flor Dominicana Double Claro

Fans of the La Flor Dominicana brand will be happy to know that the company is shipping a new line in the near future. It’s called the Double Claro, and the press release describes the line as La Flor Dominicana’s “first-ever Candela cigar.”
The Double Claro begins with a filler blend of tobacco grown at La Flor Dominicana’s farm in La Canela, Dominican Republic. A Nicaraguan binder comes next, and an Ecuadorian wrapper tops things off. Medium-bodied in strength, the Double Claro is set to be a regular production line. Look for it in three sizes: the 5 x 50 No. 50, 5 ½ x 42 No. 42, and the 6 7/8 x 48 No. 48. Suggested retail price per single ranges from $6.76 to $7.26, depending on the size, and the cigar will come packaged in boxes of 25.
Release: Viaje Super Shot

If you are looking for a quick smoke to enjoy when you don’t have a lot of time on your hands, Viaje has an upcoming release that should interest you. Dubbed the Super Shot, this line is actually packaged to look like shotgun ammo.
While the idea of a short-lived cigar is nothing new, the concept behind the Super Shot is rather novel. According to Cigar Aficionado, Andre Farkas, Viaje’s owner, came up with the Super Shot idea while shooting clay discs. He noticed that the cigars he had with him would constantly go out when it was his turn to shoot, creating the need for something quicker. The Super Shot was eventually born, and will give those who purchase it a quality cigar to enjoy on a smoking break or while doing things such as going to work, walking the dog, and more.
The Super Shot will come in two sizes that mimic shotgun shells: the 3 ¼ x 52 12 Gauge and the 3 ½ x 54 10 Gauge. As is the case with most Viaje selections, the Super Shot will be released on a limited basis, so grab them while you can once they become available.
