cignews6.13 Today's edition of news on Puff.com is a grab bag of sorts. We have some news on new releases from Alec Bradley and the Antillian Cigar Corporation, as well as accessory maker Colibri. Details on an upcoming cigar festival in Delaware are also included, so let's jump right in.

Alec Bradley Mataza line is released

There's been no shortage of movement over at Alec Bradley, as the brand has kept busy with new releases in the form of the Family Blend GS57 and the American Classic Blend. If you have yet to try either of those sticks, hold on, as there is another to add to your list as well. It's called the Mataza, and it's an entirely new line that is slowly creeping its way onto the market.

The line is named after the Mataza Valley in Cuba, which is supposedly a four hour ride outside of the nation's capital of Havana. The cigar features a filler blend of tobaccos from Colombia and Nicaragua, plus a Honduran binder. Completing the composition is an oily Brazilian wrapper. Handmade in Honduras, the Mataza is described as being smooth, complex, and medium-bodied in strength. The Mataza comes in the following five sizes: 4 3/4 x 50 Glass Robusto, 5 x 54 Robusto Gordo, 6 x 54 Super Toro, 6 x 56 Torpedo, and 6 x 60 Magnum. The Glass Robusto comes in boxes of 10, while the other four sizes come in boxes of 25. At this moment, you can find the Mataza online through Hiland's Cigars. Pricing for the boxes of 25 hovers around the $85 to $100 mark, so you are getting a good value from a quality brand.

Antillian Cigar Corporation introduces three new lines

Antillian Cigar Corporation will definitely have its hands full this summer, as it announced the upcoming release of three new lines from its Sosa brand: 60 by Sosa, Sosa Family Selection, and Sosa Underground. The three lines are a mix of old and new cigar traditions, and Antillian hopes that they will be successful in garnering appeal amongst a wide range of cigar fans. While Antillian also owns the Imperio Cubano and Macabi brands, this is clearly set to be a Sosa summer.
