Colibri releases special cigar cutter in CRA's honor

Cigar Rights of America (CRA) is a non-profit organization that has definitely fought the good fight when it comes to protecting the rights of cigar smokers. Over time, CRA has worked with its team of manufacturers, retailers, and cigar fans to oppose and overcome the plethora of bans and tax increases that have plagued the tobacco industry. As a show of appreciation for all of CRA's efforts, cigar accessory maker Colibri has decided to release a limited edition cigar cutter in the organization's honor. Les Mann, Executive VP at Colibri, explained the meaning behind the cutter in the official press release: “CRA has the difficult task of fighting for our freedom and I've seen an unbelievable effort and energy from CRA. This is a way Colibri can contribute to such an important cause.”
The limited edition CRA cutter is based on the Colibri Cut. Featuring blades made of 440 stainless steel, the cutter is capable of slicing through a hefty cigar with a ring gauge of 62. The cutter's handles are attractively finished in chrome, and are ergonomically shaped for smooth and easy cutting. Added aesthetic flair comes in the form of CRA logos and a nice CRA blue color scheme around the center. Mann had this to say about the cutter's design: “We wanted it to be a conversation piece. The cutter can open up a lot of discussion of what CRA stands for and fights for.”
Priced at $45, you can find the limited edition CRA cutter at select CRA Platinum-Level Great American Cigar Shops. To find the participating shop nearest you, visit www.cigarrights.org/gacs.
Tickets for 2011 Delaware Cigar Festival now on sale
Cigar festivals are always a great time for cigar fans looking to interact with others who share their hobby. Some of the best cigar festivals are held overseas in tobacco hotbeds in the Caribbean and Central America, but they are not always easy to get to. The Delaware Cigar Festival will kick off its fifth annual celebration on September 17th at noon at Delaware Park. Tickets went on sale for this six-hour event at the beginning of this month.
