Toraño agrees to distribute for Sam Leccia's new company

The end of May marked a new beginning for Sam Leccia, as he officially announced the birth of the Sam Leccia Cigar Co. Leccia previously worked with Oliva and was instrumental in the creation of the popular Cain and Nub brands. Leccia made the news once again last week, when it was announced that the Toraño Family Cigar Company would become the exclusive distributor for his cigars, effective June 14.
The partnership should be a positive one, as two respected entities can now put their minds together to produce and distribute quality cigars for smoking fans to enjoy. One on side you have the Toraño family and its four generations of experience, while the other side gives you Leccia and his innovative and exciting style. Charlie Toraño, president of Toraño Family Cigar Company, expressed enthusiasm concerning the deal in the official press release: “We are excited about working with one of the industry’s most creative minds. Sam Leccia has a unique energy and approach to the cigar industry. We look forward to the collaboration between our two companies.”
Toraño's optimism was matched by Leccia in the press release as well. “I have always had great respect and admiration for the Toraño family. Their expertise and history in growing tobacco and manufacturing great cigars is well known. Since their announcement last year whereby they took back control of the distribution of their brands, it’s clear that Toraño is focused on expanding its distribution company and providing tobacconists with the service and cigars they deserve. I strongly feel that this team will play an invaluable role for the growth of Sam Leccia Cigar Co,” he said.
Leccia's first release will be the Debut. It will feature a unique blend of tobaccos from the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Honduras, and Nicaragua. While the Debut should be quite interesting, Toraño also has plans for some new cigar releases of their own. Expect Toraño to release two new cigars at the IPCPR show in Las Vegas, which runs from July 17 to 21. The new releases and the partnership with Leccia are just more evidence of the Toraño family's big plans for the future. Since August of last year, Toraño has released three new cigars, claimed distribution of their brand once again, revitalized their brand via new marketing and advertising, and made new hires. The family has also just recently agreed to become the exclusive distributor for the Graycliff Cigar Company.
