Toraño Family Cigar Co. Welcomes One of Their Own to the Team

The Toraño Family Cigar Co. has been making several moves as of late in an attempt to solidify its position as one of the top cigar companies around. Toraño has introduced some new cigars to its already impressive portfolio, regained control of distribution, and has been actively adding members to its experienced team. The company’s latest announcement welcomes Jack Toraño, who will hold the post of Marketing and Customer Relations Manager. His hiring not only brings Jack closer to the family, but gives the company a talented member to help in the areas of branding and public relations as well.

Jack Toraño’s career in the tobacco industry began in the 1980’s with Lopez Leaf Tobacco. It seemed like a natural career path, especially considering his family’s long history in the business. While Jack Toraño gained some valuable experience in the tobacco industry with Lopez Leaf, his career took a detour when he moved to Chicago to join his brother Sandy at Scandal Music. Jack began developing advertisements and music at Scandal for such big names as Bud Light, McDonalds, the Oprah Winfrey Show, and Nintendo. After all those years up north, Jack’s love of family and cigars finally drove him back to his native home of Miami, where he now joins the Toraño Cigar Family Co. to see if he can create some more marketing magic.

President Charlie Toraño commented on the new addition to the family business in the official press release: “Jack is the prodigal son of the Toraño family. It took us 16 years to get him back in Miami. It’s always a great feeling to work alongside family members as we all carry that same passion for cigars.” Charlie Toraño noted that Jack’s warm personality and advertising expertise make him a perfect for the job. He replaces Oliver Hyams, who is leaving the Toraño Family Cigar Co. to work with his father, Gary Hyams.
