On September 11, 2008, Governor Ed Rendell signed into law Pennsylvania’s
first smoking ban. But if you’re a premium cigar lover, you have an oasis
located in the state’s Lehigh Valley region. Cigars International, Inc., the
largest premium cigar retailer in Pennsylvania, with nationwide catalog/internet
operations, as well as retail stores in Bethlehem, has expanded seating in its
retail store lounges to accommodate cigar enthusiasts.

Cigars International’s 5,000 square foot flagship store – CI Super-Store –
located at the intersection of routes 22 and 191 – is the newest location,
offering big screen televisions, fireplace, free coffee, and free wi-fi and
ample seating including numerous oversized leather chairs, high tables, even
custom-made rocking chairs from Nicaragua.
Director of Retail Operations Mat Cook commented, “It’s common to see a wide
range of people, from traveling businessmen looking for a quiet corner to work
on their laptop to a group of guys enjoying a football game to a couple relaxing
with a post-dinner cigar….of course all in a cigar-friendly environment.”
In Bethlehem's Historic District on Main Street, nestled among dozens of
unique stores and restaurants is the CI Downtown Store. In contrast to the large
CI Super-Store the intimate environment here offers a small and cozy cigar oasis
amidst the hustle and bustle of downtown. Both stores are open 7 days a week.
