New Adan y Eva and Emilio Reyes Collection Samplers from Eden's Gate Cigars

"In 2007, Don Emilio Reyes began introducing samples of two potential Adan y Eva Robusto XO premium cigars, to solicit comments from customers," states John Thornton, sales and marketing manager for Eden's Gate Cigars. Eden's Gate is the exclusive U.S. distributor for handmade long-filler cigars from Dominican cigar maker Flor de los Reyes. "One was delicately favored with cognac, the other with Champagne. The enthusiastic response has prompted him to add them to the Adan y Eva brand."

To familiarize cigar smokers with these cigars, Eden's Gate is packaging three Adan y Eva 5" x 50 Robustos in four Samplers ... all Champagne, all Cognac, all Natural (unflavored), and one each of all three styles. Each is individually identified by markings on its white aluminum tube, with the two flavored cigars having gold foil trim on their tubes. All the cigars have Habano 2000 wrappers, with a blend known only to Reyes. Five white Sampler cartons are packed in an attractive display carton (15 cigars total), with suggested retail pricing of $172.50 ($11.50 per cigar) for the XO Natural, and $179.40 ($11.96 per cigar) for the Champagne and Cognac.

The second new offering is the Emilio Reyes Churchill Variety Pack, a 5-cigar Sampler with one each 7" x 50 Churchill of each of the most popular brands in the Emilio Reyes Collection: the ten-year aged Dominican Republic Gold; Don Priamo; Reyes Unidos; Flor de los Reyes: and the box-pressed Traders Reserve, with six-year aged filler. The selections have wrappers that include Habano 2000, Sumatra, Connecticut, and a proprietary tobacco Reyes only describes as "Dominican." Filler blends include Dominican, Nicaraguan, and Cuban seed tobaccos. All brands in the Collection are available in 7 popular shapes. The cigars run the spectrum from mild to full-bodied. Suggested retail pricing for the Emilio Reyes 5-cigar Sampler retails for $23.92 ($4.78 per cigar).

Emilio Reyes is the sixth-generation head of the Reyes' family's 180-year tobacco business. Though less known at the retail level, his family produces 70% of the island's tobacco on 5,000 family-owned acres. And, though this is his first premium flavored cigar, he produces millions of machine-made flavored cigars annually, in more than 20 flavors.

Eden's Gate has also introduced accessories for the first time, including punches, snippers, ashtrays and lighters. Both products will be available at tobacco retailers in August.
