It is time for the first April Edition of new cigar releases on Puff.com. We have six different releases to discuss in this edition that should catch your interest, , so let's get started.
La Aurora Para Japon
La Aurora has a new cigar coming your way that should not only satisfy smokers, but will also go towards a good cause. The cigar is called the Para Japon, and it has been created to aid in the humanitarian efforts for the victims of the 8.9-magnitude earthquake that took place in Japan on March 11 of this year.
You may be wondering what the connection is between a cigar from La Aurora and the people of Japan. While a connection certainly does not have to exist for such a charitable move, many people in the Dominican Republic have developed a solid bond with Japan over the years. According to Guillermo Leon, President of La Aurora, Japan helped the Dominican Republic when hurricanes struck the island nation in the past, making this a perfect opportunity to give back and return the favor.
“Para Japon” translates into “For Japan” in English. There's obviously no need to discuss the meaning behind the name, as it is self explanatory. The cigar will come in one size, a 5 x 50 Sumo Robusto. Each cigar has been aged for three years and contains premium tobacco leaves and a Nicaraguan wrapper. The strength of the Para Japon is said to be medium to full-bodied, and it comes in nicely decorated packages of 25. The Para Japon should be released sometime this month. Miami Cigar will be responsible for the distribution, which will be to various La Aurora distributors in the United States. Sales proceeds will go to the Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Relief Fund via Japan Tobacco IMEX Co., Ltd.
