Torano Companion Pack
Variety is the spice of life, or so they say. What better product to employ this train of thought than with cigars? Luckily for hobbyists, Torano Cigars decided to take the idea of variety and run with it with its release of the Companion Pack. The Companion Pack contains four different offerings from the brand that are considered to be some of the company’s best smokes. Not only is this a good idea for smoking fans, but it’s also smart marketing by Torano to give new customers an idea of what the brand has to offer in terms of different flavors and blends. Now, I’m sure you are wondering which cigars make up the four-pack, so let’s take a look at each.
The first cigar in the Companion Pack is the Casa Torano Maduro. The Maduro is a Toro cigar that measures 6x50. It was introduced back in 2007 and is considered to be medium-bodied. It has a bit of a sweetness to it thanks to its Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro wrapper. Its filler is composed of a blend of Dominican and Nicaraguan tobacco and it has a Nicaraguan binder.
The second cigar in the Companion Pack is the Casa Torano Natural, which is also a Toro that measures 6x50. This tasty stick saw its beginning in 2004 and should appeal to those who enjoy milder cigars. The Natural has a filler comprised of tobacco from Honduras and Nicaragua plus a secret leaf that has been unannounced. It also has a binder from Indonesia and is completed by an Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper.
The next component of the Companion Pack is the Torano 1916 Cameroon. In case you were wondering, the 1916 Cameroon has some history behind it, as the year in its name marks when Don Santiago Torano made his move from Spain to Cuba. This special tribute cigar should be saved for an occasion when you have a lot of spare time on your hands, as it is known to burn slowly. It’s medium-bodied and you can expect to experience some spicy and nutty flavors. Composition-wise, the 1916 Cameroon is filled with a blend of tobacco from Nicaragua and Honduras. It has a Havana Seed Nicaraguan binder and a Cameroon wrapper as well.
Completing the Companion Pack is the Torano Virtuoso. Like others in the pack, the Virtuoso is a Toro that measures 6x50. The Virtuoso is one of the stronger offerings from the brand and has hints of spice and coffee within its flavor profile. Its filler is an interesting blend of tobacco from Panama, Honduras, and Nicaragua and the cigar is bound by a Honduran binder. Topping it off is a Nicaraguan Sun Grown wrapper. The Torano family takes pride in the Virtuoso, as it is the first cigar with a sun-grown wrapper that they both grew and constructed themselves.
As you can see, the Torano Companion Pack offers a nice variety of cigars to appease both fans of medium-bodied and full-bodied cigars smokes alike. The Companion Pack would make a nice gift for a hobbyist friend or as a special treat for yourself. If you happen to enjoy one of its offerings, you can search for the specific cigar in various other sizes as well from Torano. Best of all, the Companion Pack is affordably priced at under $20, so you won’t go bankrupt in the process of picking one up.
