Room101 LTD Namakubi Limited Edition

The Namakubi Limited Edition from Room101 is a line that has quite the interesting meaning behind its name. Namakubi is a term that comes from the Samurai culture. Specifically, after two Samurai clans battled, a severed head, or Namakubi, from the losing clan would be tagged on a wooden tray and presented to the winning clan’s leader. Nice gift, huh?
Room101 decided to slap the ancient Samurai moniker to its newest addition to the brand’s LTD series, which is set to be released sometime this summer. You won’t find any notions of severed heads when picking up the Namakubi, but you should experience a cigar that’s both pleasant and powerful. Listed as medium to full-bodied, the Namakubi has a filler blend Vuelta Abajo tobaccos from the Dominican Republic and Honduras. A proprietary Honduran Generoso seed binder comes next, and a Habano wrapper completes the composition.
As the complete name would suggest, this is a limited edition release, with production capped at 100,000 cigars total. Sizes include the 4 x 42 Papi Chulo, 4 x 48 Roxxo, 5 x 60 Monstro, 6 x 44 Tiburon, and 7 x 48 Sucio. The suggested retail price per single ranges from $6 to $10. The thickest of the bunch, the Monstro, is the most expensive.
