Are you looking for some new cigars to liven up your smoking experience? I hope so, because today's topic of discussion is new cigar releases. We have four different topics to cover today, so let's begin taking a sneak peek at the Casa Magna Colorado Lancero, La Palina's El Diario, the AVO Limited Edition 2011 85th Anniversary, and the special Fuente Fuente OpusX BBMF Humidor.
Casa Magna Colorado Lancero

While you may have had the opportunity to smoke a Lancero from Casa Magna's Colorado line in the past, many cigar fans were probably not so lucky. That's because the Colorado Lancero was a limited edition cigar that was released as part of Casa Magna sampler dubbed the Emperador Collector's Box. It carried other sizes from the line besides the rare Lancero, such as the Robusto, Extraordinario, Gran Toro, and Diadima. Although that sampler is nearly impossible to find nowadays, there is some good news. Casa Magna has decided to make the Colorado's Lancero vitola a standard production cigar.
In case you are unfamiliar with Casa Magna, it's a brand that is the result of a collaboration between Manuel Quesada and Nestor Plasencia. As for the cigar in question, the Colorado Lancero is quite long, measuring 8 1/4 x 40. It differs a bit from traditional Lanceros that usually measure 7 1.2 x 38. The cigar is a Nicaraguan puro made from Cuban Seed tobacco grown in Central American nation's fertile Esteli and Jalapa regions.
The Casa Magna Colorado Lancero is set to hit shelves either by the end of this month or in the beginning of April. It will ship in packs of seven, and each cigar carries a suggested retail price of $12.95. Keep your eyes peeled for the official release, especially if you are looking for a new Nicaraguan puro to try or if you prefer long, thin cigars.
