Paul Garmirian's Symphony 20 line gets two new sizes
Fans of the Paul Garmirian brand will be happy to know that its limited edition Symphony 20 line has two new sizes to sample. The 6 7/8 x 57 Salomones and the 4 1/2 x 52 Short Robusto are the newest additions to the line which previously consisted of just one size, the 6 x 52 Connoisseur. Since the Connoisseur is so rare, the addition of two new sizes means that more cigar enthusiasts will get the chance to give this special line a try.
The Symphony was named after an article that compared the complex process of making a quality cigar to composing a symphony. The line was originally released on a limited basis in 2009, and it was created by Hendrik Kelner and Eladio Diaz to commemorate the company's 20th anniversary. The Salomones and Short Robusto will feature the same components as the Connoisseur. These are vaguely listed as a filler blend of four different tobaccos, a Havana Seed binder, and what the Paul Garmirian site refers to as “the greatest wrapper we have ever seen.” With a description like that, these newly released sizes should fly off the shelves.
The Symphony 20 Salomones sells for $21 per single, while the Short Robusto sells for $13 each. The Salomones is offered in boxes of ten, while the Short Robusto comes in boxes of 25. If the Connoisseur's limited supply is any indication, these two new Symphony 20 sizes will be hard to find, so act fast before they are gone.

Tatuaje Tattoo

Pete Johnson of Tatuaje has just released a limited edition cigar called the Tattoo. The release is somewhat unexpected, as not a lot of publicity was behind it. Maybe that is due to the limited production of the Tattoo. Only 5,100 of the cigars have been released to select retailers across the country. The Tattoo comes in bundles of 15, and singles are priced in the $10 range.
The Tattoo comes in a box-pressed Lancero shape that measures 7 1/2 x 38. It has a Nicaraguan filler and binder and a Habano Rosado Oscuro wrapper. It's too bad the production and distribution of the Tattoo is so limited, as Pete Johnson and Tatuaje usually put out quality cigars.
