Zino Platinum Z-Class Series

The Zino Platinum Z-Class Series is set to make its way onto shelves this month, and it promises to be the brand's most full-bodied release yet. Made in the Dominican Republic, the Z-Class should appease smokers seeking a bit of a kick. The cigar features a filler blend of aged tobaccos from Honduras, the Dominican Republic, and Nicaragua. A Peruvian binder and a Dominican wrapper round out the composition, which is said to offer the standard features of past Zino releases, but with a twist.

The Z-Class will be offered in four different formats: the 4 7/8 x 50 550 R, 5 1/4 x 46 546 P, 5 5/8 x 43 643 C, and 5 7/8 x 54 654 T. Although they may hold the same composition, each format will supposedly offer a unique dose of strength and flavor. The Zino Platinum Z-Class Series will come packaged in boxes sleek boxes of 20 and carry a retail price of $8 to $12 per single, depending on size.

J.C. Newman Brick House Short Torp

The highly-rated Brick House line from J.C. Newman will be adding a new size to its lineup this summer once the Short Torp is released. The Short Torp will measure 5 1/2 x 52, and it will be the sixth size in the Brick House family.

J.C. Newman decided to create the Short Torp in response to the Brick House's booming popularity. The medium to full-bodied line was first introduced in 2009, and it's been a hit with smokers ever since. Eric Newman, the company's president, had this to say in the Short Torp's official press release: “We are excited to introduce a new Brick House size to cigar lovers nationwide. The new Short Torp is guaranteed to live up to the reputation of flavor and construction Brick House has earned.”

Like its predecessors in the Brick House line, the Short Torp will feature solely Nicaraguan tobaccos, including a Havana Subido wrapper. The cigar's pyramid shape will allow flavors to concentrate in the head to offer an enjoyable smoking experience.

The Brick House Short Torp will be officially released in July at the International Premium Cigar & Pipe Retailers show. The cigar will come in boxes of 25 and have a suggested retail price of $4.95 per single. If you cannot wait that long and want to get your hands on a tasty Brick House right now, you can try one of the line's five other sizes: the 5 x 54 Robusto, 6 x 52 Toro, 6 1/4 x 46 Corona Larga, 6 1/4 x 60 Mighty Might, or 7 1/4 x 50 Churchill.
