Alec Bradley American Classic Blend

Alec Bradley has a special treat coming out around Memorial Day that should fall into the hands of those looking to enjoy a quality stogie on that extended weekend. The patriotic line is called the American Classic Blend, and the timing of its release could not be more appropriate.

The American Classic Blend's filler is comprised of aged Nicaraguan Esteli and Condega tobaccos. They are concealed by a Nicaraguan Jalapa binder, and the cigar is finished off with a Honduran Connecticut Shade wrapper. The cigar is listed as being mild to medium-bodied, offering a smooth profile that is also complex.

The American Classic Blend will ship in six sizes: the 5 x 50 Robusto, 5 1/2 x 42 Corona, 6 x 50 Toro, 6 x 60 Gordo, 6 1/8 x 52 Torpedo, and 7 x 48 Churchill. Each of the sizes will be packed in boxes of 20, with a suggested retail price in the $4 to $6 range for a single.

Brand president Alan Rubin discussed the entire vision behind the creation of the American Classic Blend on the Alec Bradley Cigar's Facebook Fan Page: “Since there are so few people around that would remember what this kind of cigar would have tasted like, it was a real challenge for us. Eventually we found just the right tobaccos, and I believe we hit the nail on the head. The cigars have an excellent balance of flavor, complexity and depth. Cigar smokers can expect a very smooth, creamy smoke with sweet cedar notes and a distinct nutty flavor on the finish.”

As far as the affordable pricing of the line, Rubin said, “We wanted to make an affordably-priced handmade cigar like the cigars that were popular in America during the early part of the 20th century. Even with the SCHIP tax, the customer is getting a high-quality smoke at a very reasonable price.”

It's nice that Alec Bradley keeps its customers in mind, and it should pay off when the American Classic Blend is finally released in time for fans to enjoy it on Memorial Day weekend. When you combine the quality that Alec Bradley is known for with a wallet-friendly price tag, you have yourself a cigar that is hard to pass up.

Nice cigar for those who enjoy mild to moderate bodied cigars. Excellent hints of earth, cedar. It is a creamy nutty smoke that is pleasing to the tongue. This cigar is consistent all the way through. Although I am not a fan of this cigar it is awesome.
