La Gloria Cubana Artesanos Retro Especiale

Followers of La Gloria Cubana will be happy to know that the brand’s latest line, the Artesanos Retro Especiale, is finally available for purchase. Details on the line were leaked a few months ago and it made its way across the country with some private tastings, but now you have the chance to get your hands on one. The road to the final release has not been a quick one, as the team at La Gloria Cubana took eight years to come up with the perfect blend for the Retro Especiale.
Team La Gloria and Michael Giannini, the company’s director of marketing, drew up inspiration for the cigar from an antique humidor that was found at the El Credito Cigar Factory. The team spent many years trying to replicate the humidor and two years were dedicated to coming up with the right wrapper for the blend. Unique packaging and flavor were the two main goals behind the line’s creation, and it appears as if La Gloria Cubana has succeeded in both of those areas.
As for the cigar’s composition that makes it so unique, it is highlighted by a flavorful, cross-bred Connecticut Seed wrapper grown in Honduras. A Nicaraguan and Mexican double binder comes next. Last, but not least, is a filler of Dominican and Nicaraguan tobaccos.
La Gloria Cubana offers the Artesanos Retro Especiale in four sizes: the 5 ¾ x 47 Club, 6 x 52 Habanero, 6 ½ x 58 Cubano, and the 7 x 52 Taino. Each comes in boxes of 25, with a suggested retail price of $7 to $8.15 per single.
