Zino Embassy Selection 2011

zinoemb

The Zino Embassy Selection 2011 marks the third limited edition release of its kind from the Zino brand. This double-banded beauty is a Robusto that measures 5 x 52. The cigar’s filler is a blend of Criollo Ligero, Piloto Ligero, and San Vicente Ligero tobaccos from various regions of the Dominican Republic. Its binder is of the Dominican Criollo variety, which is followed by an Ecuadorian Special Sun Grown Selection 702 wrapper. The various Ligero tobaccos give the Embassy Selection a robust aroma, while its wrapper helps to add balance.

Zino packages the Embassy Selection 2011 in attractive burgundy boxes of 10. Each cigar has a suggested retail price of $10.30. Production is limited to just 3,000 boxes. The Zino Embassy Selection 2011 was officially released to select tobacconists around the United States on September 1, so be sure to pick some up before they are all gone.

Partagas Serie E No. 2

partag

Here’s a release that should pique the interest of readers overseas. Unfortunately, the new Partagas Serie E No. 2 will not be available in the United States due to its status as a Cuban cigar, but that’s a whole other story. Habanos S.A. launched the new cigar’s worldwide release during the end of August.

Measuring 5 ½ x 54, the Serie E No. 2 holds the distinction of being Partagas’ largest ring gauge parejo. Aficionados also believe that this particular format is the best representation of the Partagas brand, which started all the way back in 1845. The cigar consists of tobacco from Cuba’s fertile Vuelta Abajo region that provides a noticeable aroma and plenty of richness. Followers of the Partagas brand know that its cigars usually pack some intensity when it comes to flavor, and the Serie E No. 2 is said to continue that tradition.

Habanos S.A. presents the Serie E No. 2 in wooden boxes of five or 25. Each box comes equipped with unique lithography on its exterior as well as an interior flap to help separate the cigars.

.....No cigar is worth $30.00. I have smoked two Davidoff cigars thus far, and you can get any number of premium cigars for around 5 bucks that are MUCH better. But then you couldn't brag to everyone you smoke Davidoff. I guess Prestige is worth the price if you can pay it.
.....Or like myself, look for the best cigar to smoke for the best price. And neither of the Davidoff's cigars I smoked come close. Maybe this line will be better then just good/average. :zzz
