Crowned Heads Four Kicks

It’s not out yet, but once the Four Kicks line is released from Crowned Heads, it should be interesting to see how the cigar is received by the smoking public. In case you have never heard of Crowned Heads, it’s a new company that was founded by former CAO executives, including Jon Huber. According to a post on the company’s website, Huber said that the inspiration for Four Kicks came from a Kings of Leon song with the same name. Huber heard the song and felt that it spoke to him on a personal level, especially considering all of the turmoil that came about from the CAO departure.
Four Kicks will be the first release from Crowned Heads and is scheduled to hit cigar store shelves in November. The Crowned Heads team will collaborate with Ernesto Perez-Carrillo on the release, which should add even more interest to the cigar’s debut. Perez-Carrillo brings over 40 years of cigar making experience to the table. Despite all that experience, Four Kicks will be his first contract cigar made for a company other than his own.
The Four Kicks line will feature a Nicaraguan filler and binder plus an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper. The cigars will be rolled in the traditional entubado style and be topped off with a triple cap. Production will take place at the Tabacalera La Alianza S.A. factory in the Dominican Republic’s capital of Santiago.
As for what to expect from Four Kicks, full flavor and medium to full-bodied strength appear to be the description. Huber described the cigar in his own words in his post on the Crowned Heads website: “It opens big, bold, and in your face. It then takes you on a ride of complexity, richness, and finesse. It finishes bright and clean and leaves its fingerprints on your palate to remind you that it was there.” Crowned Heads will offer the cigar in four sizes: the 5 x 50 Robusto, 5 5/8 x 46 Corona Gorda, 6 x 54 Sublime, and 6 1/8 x 52 Piramide. The cigars will come in boxes of 24 and carry a retail price ranging from approximately $7 to $9 each, depending on the size. Quantity is expected to be somewhat limited for Four Kicks’ first year.
Hoyo de Monterrey Short Hoyo Piramides

Another new cigar that has just been released worldwide is the Hoyo de Monterrey Short Hoyo Piramides. Unavailable in the United States, the Short Hoyo Piramides is Habanos S.A.’s first Edicion Limitada for 2011. The cigar is made from Cuban Vuelta Abajo tobacco that has been aged for at least two years.
The Short Hoyo Piramides measures 5 3/8 x 46 and comes in boxes of 10. It is said to be an ideal smoke for beginners as well as Habanos fans that prefer cigars of lighter flavors. As its Edicion Limitada status would suggest, this is one stogie that will have a limited supply.

.....Or like myself, look for the best cigar to smoke for the best price. And neither of the Davidoff's cigars I smoked come close. Maybe this line will be better then just good/average.
