My Father Commemorative 911

myfath911

September 11th recently passed, and it surely brought with it many strong emotions and memories. As a way of paying respect to the victims and families of those affected by the tragic events of September 11, 2001, Jaime Garcia of My Father Cigars has joined hands with Chicago’s Casa de Montecristo to release the My Father Commemorative 911 line.

Specifically, the My Father Commemorative 911 was launched to honor the 343 firefighters that lost their lives in the World Trade Center. Although it may seem like just yesterday for some, it’s been ten years since the event, and this line commemorates the tenth anniversary of the firefighters’ heroic efforts. Jeff Holst, a firefighter from Illinois, originally came up with the idea for the 911 line and presented it to Casa de Montecristo’s owners. It was passed on until it reached Jaime Garcia, and he accepted the challenge.

The Commemorative 911 is offered in boxes of 20. All of the cigars have secret fillers. Nine come with a Corojo 96 binders and Ecuadorian Habano Rosado wrappers. The remaining 11 cigars have secret binders and Nicaraguan Habano Oscuro Oscuro wrappers. The cigars come in a single 5 ½ x 54 Toro size and are described as being rich and complex. In terms of strength, the Commemorative 911 is listed as medium to full-bodied.

Only 343 boxes were produced to match the number of honored firefighters. The boxes have just become available for a price of $199.99 each. $40 from the sale of each box will be donated to a designated charity that supports the families of 9/11’s fallen heroes. It’s highly likely that the My Father Commemorative 911 will sell out fast, so be sure to act quickly if you want to not only get your hands on a quality cigar, but also support a great cause.
