Urbano Sumatra

urbanosuma

Urbano Cigars is another boutique brand that has just expanded its rather small portfolio. The new addition is called the Urbano Sumatra, and it promises to be a great complement to your morning cup of coffee due to its mild-bodied nature.

The Urbano Sumatra has a Dominican filler and an Indonesian binder. It’s highlighted by a triple-fermented Sumatra wrapper. The fermentation process helps make the Sumatra very smooth, and the fact that all of the tobaccos are aged two years adds to the cigar’s refinement. Do not let the smooth description fool you, however, as company founder Matt Urbano describes the line as being full of flavor. Earth, chocolate, leather, cinnamon, and sweetness are just some of the notes you can look for while smoking the Sumatra.

The Urbano Sumatra is offered in Robusto, Torpedo, and Churchill shapes. The line comes in boxes of 20, with a suggested retail price of around $5 to $5.50 per single, depending on the size. You can purchase the Sumatra directly from Urbano Cigars by visiting their website, www.urbanocigars.com.

Alec Bradley Black Market

alecblackmark

For some, the phrase “black market” conjures up visions of illegality, but it can spark interest at the same time. Luckily, Alec Bradley’s new release of its Black Market line is perfectly legal, so you can give it a try without having to look over your shoulder.

The Alec Bradley Black Market was originally introduced at this summer’s IPCPR show in Las Vegas. It has a filler blend of Honduran Jamastran and Panamanian tobaccos, a Sumatra binder, and a Nicaraguan Jalapa wrapper. Medium-bodied in strength, the Black Market boasts a full array of flavors meant to satisfy all who light it up.

The Black Market stays true to its edgy moniker with creative packaging. It comes in boxes that are reminiscent of crates, and each cigar is decorated with a large black and white band that has the Black Market name stamped on as if it just came off of a loading dock. The cigar is being offered in the following sizes: the 5 ¼ x 52 Robusto, 6 x 50 Toro, 6 x 60 Gordo, 6 1/8 x 54 Torpedo, and 7 x 50 Churchill. A single has a suggested retail price of approximately $7.50 to $8.
