This year’s holidays will be more festive for the lucky recipients of two new Holiday Variety Samplers filled with premium cigars from Emilio Reyes’ company, Flor de Los Reyes (Flower of the Kings). At the annual cigar teade show, Reyes was in the booth of his exclusive U.S. distributor, Eden’s Gate Cigars, to debut the broad lineup of his cigars.

According to John Thornton, sales and marketing manager for Eden’s Gate, “Don Emilio shared samples of his latest additions with attendees. Their enthusiastic response led us to offer several cigars from his broad line in several variety packs. What better time and theme than for the festive upcoming season?”

Piramides (52 x 6-1/8) are featured in all Holiday Variety Samplers. The first sampler combines 5 of the company’s 7 cigars in the Emilio Reyes Collection: the ten-year aged Dominican Republic Gold; Emilio Reyes; Los Reyes Unidos; Flor de los Reyes: and the box-pressed Traders Reserve, with six-year aged filler. The selections have wrappers that include Habano 2000, Sumatra, Connecticut, and a proprietary tobacco Reyes will only say is “Dominican.” Filler blends include Dominican, Nicaraguan, and Cuban seed tobaccos. All brands in the Collection are available in 7 of the most popular shapes. The cigars run the spectrum from mild to full-bodied.

The second set of Holiday Variety Samplers consists of four variants, featuring three Adan y Eva cigars: a flavored cigar in Champagne or Cognac, and a Natural. Reyes presented samples of his Champagne- and Cognac-flavored Adan y Eva cigars at the trade show, also to a strong reception. The base cigar for all 4 samples is the flagship Adan y Eva XO, with a blend Reyes also prefers to keep secret. Eden’s Gate is offering a sampler with 3 Champagnes, a sampler with 3 Cognacs, a sampler with 3 XOs, and a sampler with one each Champagne, Cognac, and Natural. Though these are his first flavored premium cigars, one of his 3 factories produces 5 million machine-made flavored cigars annually, in over 20 flavors.

Holiday Variety Samplers are packaged in cardboard cartons with holiday greetings and artwork. All cigars are presented in tubes. The Emilio Reyes Collection Sampler retails for an affordable $23. The Adan y Eva Samplers are $38 for the mixed sampler and both flavored samplers. The XO sampler’s retail is $36.50. All samplers are now available from Eden’s Gate Cigars.

Reyes and his 3 brothers are the fifth generation of the family to produce tobacco, a legacy that began 168 years ago. They grow all their own tobacco on 5,000 acres near Santiago, and list some of the most prestigious names in the cigar world as their long-term clients. All the company’s cigars are made exclusively with tobaccos grown on their farms.
