Fiber technology, found in the most demanding of applications ... military aircraft, ultra-speed communications, even Formula I Ferraris .. it has found its way into the world of premium cigars.
Florida-based Alec Bradley Cigar Company has entered into an agreement with Sardell Imports to represent and distribute high-quality humidors hand crafted by Diapelle (Dee-ah-PELL-ee). Alec Bradley has added four practical, visually stunning humidors to its product portfolio. This follows Alec Bradley’s successful introduction of artistic and highly functional cigar ashtrays in 2004, which have already become
collectors' items.

"The new Alec Bradley humidors set equally high standards for performance and visual
appeal," reports company president Alan Rubin. "They are truly elegant accessories for modern
life." These humidors have interiors of rich, aged and kiln-dried Spanish cedar, reserved traditionally for keeping fine cigars at their peak. It provides a hostile environment for tobacco beetles, while providing the perfect environment for aging cigars. Rather than encasing it in a furniture-grade wood, which can have problems with warping and porosity from the humidified interior, Alec Bradley humidors use fibers ... either carbon or crystal ... for the exterior.
These technologically advanced exteriors are not only impervious to moisture, but are durable, lightweight, strong, and fireproof. In addition to black, which is made of carbon fiber, three other three others are of crystal fiber, usually found in the latest optical telephony technology. These, in clear crystal silver, ruby red, and sapphire blue possess an almost
"alive" iridescence.
To set off the colors, the fiber cases are finished off in a piano-grade lacquer. Superior-quality gold- and chrome-plated appointments are used throughout, and each
humidor's interior is fitted with a controlled humidification unit.
The humidors come in four styles and capacities...the four color choices yield a total availability of 16 selections. Smallest is a 30-cigar box with an arched top ($510 suggested retail price), a 3-tray cabinet model that fits 45 cigars ($780), a traditional rectangular desktop model for 75 cigars ($540), and the 3-drawer chest that accommodates 100 cigars ($750).
Rubin states, "Alec Bradley is again at the forefront of bringing high quality innovative products to cigar consumers. Our humidors create the perfect environment to showcase and nurture your most treasured
cigars." The humidors are currently available at tobacco retailers everywhere.
