We
came upon a press release for a new cigar website called SheepCigars.com. They
promise not to spam you, and not to try to sell you some lame house brand dog
rocket. That's great. However, the site leaves a lot to be desired.
The site design is quite plain, but there are bigger issues than that. On my
visit to the site, half the inventory was out of stock. They also only sell full
boxes. In today's economy this surely seems like a bad idea to me.
Aside from that, I think the name is silly too. You can think of your own
sheep jokes though.
Below is the press release and a screen shot showing Padron Cigars out of
stock.
CHEYENNE, Wyo., Nov 20, 2008 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- SheepCigars.com, a
company of Levinson Marketing, LLC, is a brand new website catering to the needs
of cigar smokers everywhere by offering the lowest prices on many different
boutique brands and brands not normally found on the Internet. Their policy,
unlike many other websites, states: "No Spam - We won't fill your inbox with
'daily deals' or we miss you 'sales' etc.
If we send you an email it will only be about major site updates and a real
sale on our already low prices," and further states: "No Private Label Cigars --
We don't have exclusive cigars; we only carry nationally distributed cigars. We
will not try to pass off terrible cigars as something else" -- which are an
all-too-common occurrence in the industry.
Their extensive portfolio includes brands such as: Esencia, Tatuaje, Don
Pepin, Macanudo, Cusano, Hoyo de Monterrey, Padron, illusione, Ashton, Cabaiguan,
La Riqueza, and JFR, to name a few.
