Knoxville-based cigar specialty shop, Silo Cigars, has moved from Martin Mill Pike to Stonecrest Center in Farragut.

"We started as a heavily internet company ... after we were fairly successful on Martin Mill Pike, we decided to get more into the retail part of it," said Silo president Kevin Phillips, pictured far right.

"We wanted to move into an area where we could tap into Lenoir City, West Knoxville," he added.

The store features a cigar lounge and a 250 square-foot cedar-lined humidor.

"We do have a large humidor. We've got the lounge area. The store's not just a buy-it and take-it-with-you place.

"A lot of our customers come in and read the paper and drink some coffee in the morning before they go to work," co-owner Paul Warner said.

Warner and Phillips pride themselves on staying “on the cutting edge of the new manufacturers before they really hit it big.

"So we carry a lot of boutique, small-production cigars that are not available at other places in Knoxville or Farragut," Phillips said.

In addition to its hand-rolled cigars, the store carries gourmet coffee, fresh roasted and delivered to the store each morning.
