Say goodbye to Nosotros Cigars

Followers of the newer brand of cigars that go by the name Nosotros will likely be disappointed by the news that the Nicaraguan cigars have been discontinued. The announcement was made at the end of September by Dion Giolito, owner of Illusione Cigars. Giolito, who partnered with Drew Estate's Jonathan Drew on the creation of Nosotros, said that the production of the cigars would halt immediately.
News of Nosotros' demise may come as a surprise to some, especially considering that the brand just officially launched in the Spring of 2010. Giolito claimed that the reason behind the ended partnership was that the two could not find a happy medium in terms of a product delivery date, despite over two years of working together.
Finland attempts to deter smokers

If you were thinking about taking a plane trip across the pond to a place that is smoke-friendly, you may want to take Finland off your list of potential destinations. Beginning in 2012, a new law will take effect that will effect how retailers can sell tobacco products. Once enabled, retailers will have to remove all tobacco products from display shelves and place them underneath counters and out of sight. In addition, there will be increased restrictions on tobacco imports, and sales to minors will get offenders fines and time in jail.
The move, according to the Finnish Health Ministry's Ismo Tuominen, is an effort to decrease the percentage of active smokers within the country. By having tobacco products out of sight, proponents of the law believe it will help curtail the amount of minors who will be tempted to smoke, and it will create an inconvenience for others who do smoke. Whether the law achieves its intended goals remains to be seen, especially when similar laws in other countries have not had much success in reducing smoking.
