Friday Night at the Las Vegas Big Smoke (Continued)
What's better than Jack Daniel's on the rocks? Jack Daniels on the
rocks poured by smiling hot babes!

Jack Daniels in hand, we proceeded to the check out the General
Cigar booth.
General Cigar - Macanudo 1968

I'm Ed Layman. I work for General Cigar. I'm a brand manager for them.
In particular, the General Cigar Dominicana brands which include the
Macanudo, the Cohiba, and the Partagas. This is actually a new one that we
just released a couple weeks ago. It's a new kind of fuller flavored
Macanudo. We have a Honduran wrapper. The binder is a Habano binder that
we grew in Connecticut and it has some tobacco from Nicaragua, particular
from the island of Ometempe. General Cigar has exclusive tobacco from this
island and we've cultivated it enough where it has some very wonderful
flavors and we wanted to kind of introduce this into the Macanudo to kind
of round out the whole brand. As far as a platform is concerned, it’s a
fuller-flavored Macaundo. It's not like the cafes or the Maduros or the
Robustos. It has a very unique flavor. We hope to say that it’s kind of
exclusively Macanudo.
General Cigar - Don Tomás
My
name is J.T. Gervin. I'm Senior Brand Manager of Marketing for General
Cigar Company. We're offering our Don Tomás line in a Maduro. We also,
with General Cigar, are offering a new Macanudo 1968. We have La Gloria
Cubana and we also have Hoyo de Monterrey. Lots for the show this evening.
Toraño Cigars - Toraño Exodus 1959
Hello. This is Carlos Toraño and we are very glad and we're happy to be
down
here in Las Vegas. We are what, four or five thousand people enjoying
a great time. Thank you for coming down. I appreciate it.

Oliva Cigars - Serie V

Kevin: Hello, what is your name and who do you represent?
Dave: Dave Wagner, Oliva Cigars.
Kevin: What do you do for Oliva Cigars?
Dave: I'm the national sales manager.
Kevin: OK. What's your favorite cigar?
Dave: The Oliva Serie V.
Kevin: Serie V?
Dave: Absolutely.
Kevin: What is the body, Medium-full?
Dave: It's a full-body cigar and it's very smooth.
Kevin: Nice. Thank you.
Next, we proceeded to get some food. There were all kinds of great
gourmet foods. I didn't have time to ascertain the names of everything,
but I was pleased to find several spicy dishes which I thoroughly enjoyed.
I love spicy food and it was probably a good idea to help the flavors cut
through the cigars and spirits we were imbibing in.
As we ate, I snapped a few shots of the crowd.
