Oh how I love good food – man food, the kind of meaty good stuff that God sent to us in the form of four-legged critters. Any meat that is red (steaks and burgers, burgers and steaks) and grilled on an open flame is mucho delicioso. Any pork product (ribs, chops, loin) that is smoked, cured, killed and grilled is my kind of stuff. Any chicken (wings, thighs, breasts or beer canned) that is battered, fried, wing sauced or charred over fire is for me. And let’s not forget the lamb chops. Yessuh! I really should weigh 500 pounds but I think that will eventually catch up to me in later years when I’m older and crustier.

I’m telling you that I could go to a cigar dinner every single night of the week. Of course I’d weigh six hundred pounds, smell like a junkyard fire, and women would never come near me. Ah, such is the price of a great time with some great cigars.

If you are a new cigar smoker and haven’t yet delved into the process of buying your first humidor, or are looking for more storage and do not want the expense associated with buying another one, then you have come to the right place. A step above the old Tupperware cigar storage unit, the Coolerdor offers an inexpensive, do-it-yourself option that provides you with the storage and security of a normal humidor, without the financial commitment. It might not look as pretty, but it gets the job done.

Hello and welcome to the Humidor edition of the Puff FAQ series. In this article, a companion piece to the Puff Guide to Humidors, I will be answering some common – and uncommon – questions users have about humidors, whether they be related to temperature, troubleshooting, or something as simple as whether or not it is ok to keep your humidor empty.

Baseball and cigar smoking have gone hand in hand since the very dawn of the game. I don’t know if Abner Doubleday smoked cigars, but back in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s, it seemed that almost every man alive was pictured with a stogie in his mouth, and unlike today, a fellow could enjoy puffing his puro in any ball park in the land, when and wherever he damn well pleased.
