Like the perfect cigar, the smoker’s lifestyle is one focused on enjoyment and relaxation. At Puff Lifestyle, we discuss all avenues of lifestyle - great hotels that are cigar friendly, fantastic wines, cigar friendly dining, cool gadgets, lighters that actually work, hand carved cedar humidors...you get the idea. But we also cover the down to earth lifestyle interests as well: the most enjoyable reasonably priced cigars, best vacations on a budget, and the best way to stretch a buck...which has never been more important. Nothing is off topic!

I’m not sure that I’m altogether comfortable with adding labels to people. There never seems to be a situation where a label quite fits everyone that you might want to categorize with it.

This is the battle of the century. Titans going head to head. In one corner, my wife and her inane ability to smell cigar smoke in quantities so small Oompa Loompas would even miss it. In the challenger’s corner, two somewhat highly touted smoke and odor eliminating devices. Challenger number one is the Oreck ProShield Air Purifier. Challenger number two is the Alpine Air Better Living Air purifier. Both of these guys cost a bit under $400, so they better work, or I have a lot of explaining to do.

If there is one thing that every cigar smoker tries at some time in their life, it’s blowing smoke rings. The urge to blow smoke rings can come at any time; you can be sitting back in your den just contemplating the world and that secret urge to be a kid again will strike. Or you can be there with a group of cigar-smoking friends and you want to show off - just a little - so the urge will hit you and out will pop something that hopefully looks like a smoke ring.

While there are plenty of cigar smokers who know that anytime you can stop what you’re doing and enjoy a good cigar is a special occasion that’s not what I want to talk about here. Instead I want to look at the growing trend within the cigar industry to provide cigars for those special moments in life that we all want to remember and personally I can think of no better way to mark some of those moments than by having a special cigar to help that moment live even longer in your memory.
