When it comes to service, island manager Dawn Simpson and her team continue to provide the warm style of hospitality that Fijian people are so well known for. They will look after guests as little or as much as they desire, while always providing attentive and solicitous service for all Dolphin Island visitors.

Meals are delicious and feature fresh produce, with many flavours and ingredients unique to Fijian cuisine - one speciality is the blanched lobster with fern fronds and lime-scented rice. Freshly caught fish is brought to the island daily so guests can select their preferred choice from the catch, which is then expertly prepared and served to them within hours for the ultimate in sea-to-fork freshness. There’s also an abundance of tropical fruit on offer courtesy of the island’s lush vegetation, so you can gorge on papayas, mangoes, bananas and pineapples to your heart’s content.
With 13-acres of private island as your very own playground, you’ll rarely feel the need to leave the beautiful island. However, if you do fancy venturing further afield there is a wonderful variety of activities on offer, including aquatic adventures in the warm, clear waters, where you can explore the amazing marine life among the exotic coral reefs. Guests can enjoy a spot of snorkelling, tank diving, swimming and fishing with carefully selected operators whose local knowledge is invaluable, or enjoy an afternoon sailing on the Catamaran. You can also explore the nearby villages with their rich historical hotspots, enjoy cultural performances organised by Dawn Simpson and her team, or simply stay in with a pampering massage or a facial.

The island re-opened in July this year after an extensive renovation period. Reviews so far have been excellent, so next time you’re looking for a private island getaway, it’s definitely worth giving this one a go!
