God of Fire by Carlito
Another cigar that owes its quality to the Fuente family, the God of Fire wears a band with the Greek god Prometheus (known as Prometheus Bound), who stole fire from Zeus and gave it to mortals. There are two God of Fire cigars, the by Carlito and the by Don Carlos. Here, we talk about the by Carlito.
Medium bodied, this cigar has a Dominican Republic filler and binder, and is enshrouded in an a Cameroon wrapper, lending it that small hint of African spice. Intertwined with this mellow spiciness is a sweetness, tinged with cedar. A pretty nice cigar.

Altadis USA Romeo y Julieta 1875
Founded in 1918 and officially formed in 1921 as the Consolidated Cigar Corporation, Altadis USA was formed by Julius Lichtenstein. You may have seen the famed actor George Burns, who was an early spokesman for the company, bandying about their cigars. Today, the corporation can be found in several companies, including the United States, Dominican Republic, Brazil, and Holland (to name only a few).
This cigar is a big “gift idea” that floats around whenever it gets near Valentine’s day, no doubt in large part due to its namesake. A huge seller in the United States, this romantic cigar is handmade in the Dominican Republic and features a caramel tinged Java wrapper. Putting out an excellent bouquet, this cigar has a rich cedary sweetness. While not the highest rated on the list, it is still a pleasure.
