Obviously from some of those prices I've mentioned, if you're not a collector already then you can still get into the hobby of collecting cigar related items without breaking your bank. If those prices are a little too high for you then you don't always have to collect old things ... even though there is a certain magic in being able to look at and touch something quite old that has brought pleasure to cigar smokers in the past.

Earlier I said that manufacturing collectibles had become a big business and there are many cigar related items being made today that are collectible even now. Sure there may not be much age attached to them ... and reputable manufacturers don't pretend to be producing something that is old ... but they can still be worth collecting.

The true collector doesn't collect something simply because it's old ... he or she collects something because it appeals to them. It may appeal to no one else ... like the guy I know with the peg collection ... but as long as it appeals to them or to you then it's worth collecting.

I found this paper fan at a yard sale. It has the name Great Hill Cigars on it. Under the name there are some symbols or words in what looks like Chinese or Japanese language. Do you think this is of any value? I have looked for memorabilia for cigars that are fans but have not found anything. Can you help me out? . Thanks.
