The Humidor
If it's status you want then you need one of these. Humidors come in a variety of shapes and sizes. Some are absolute works of art and are going to cost you an arm and a couple of legs while others are less embellished and come at a more reasonable price.
But when it comes to humidors it's not the look that's important ... unless all you want to do is impress your non-cigar smoking friends. What is important when it comes to humidors is just how well they maintain the right level of moisture around your cigars. Sadly some of the best looking humidors can leave your cigars feeling like they've been dropped in a desert while some of the less attractive looking humidors do a perfect job of keeping them at that level of freshness that you want. A simple test is the "drop test". No, don't drop the humidor on the floor. Open the lid about an inch and let it drop shut. If it slams shut, the humidor has a bad seal. If, on the other hand, it softly closes on a cushion of air, then it has a good seal.
