Entertainment

Some of you may see your man cave as a quiet escape, but why not be entertained at the same time?  If we are going to start somewhere in the realm of man cave entertainment, a great TV is a must.  You could just throw an old, fat tube TV down there, but what’s the fun in that?  The TV is likely to be the focal point of your man cave entertainment system, so splurge a little and pick up a large flat screen HDTV or multiple ones like shown above from the DIY Network.  Maximize your TV setup with an HD cable box, and don’t forget some sports packages to catch all the games.  If you’re a big movie fan, DVDs are fine, but you can also get a Roku box that will stream Netflix movies directly to your TV as you wish.

You don’t want to solely stimulate your eyes, as your ears are just as important.  Buy a nice stereo that’ll hold various CDs at one time, or get one that accepts digital media.  iPod docks are popular and won’t take up much space.  Just don’t forget to invest in some good speakers that will really let you zone out and escape from it all.  Of course, if you enjoy making your own music, your man cave is a great spot to play the guitar, drums, or whatever else you like.

What about games?  A good poker table can make any man cave complete, and so can a pool table.  Smaller, less expensive traditional gaming options such as dartboards are a good addition too.  If video games are your thing, you can go all out with some big old school arcade machines or purchase a gaming system such as the PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360.  Better yet, wait for the next generation of consoles that are coming out later this year in the form of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Food and Drink

You’re going to want to eat in your man cave and entertain others on occasion, so a refrigerator is a no-brainer.  It doesn’t have to be a full-sized one, but at least have something big enough to store drinks and food to avoid constant trips to the kitchen.  There are tons of options when it comes to man cave bars, so it’s up to you to determine how far you want to go.  Stock up on a variety of your favorite liquor and beer, as well as all the necessary glasses, mixers, etc.  If you really love your beer, go ahead and order a kegerator.

That concludes this look at cigar man caves.  Do you have any other suggestions as must-haves for a cigar man cave?  If so, discuss them via the General Cigar Discussion section of Puff.com’s forums.  You can also feel free to post pictures of your own man cave setups to share with others in our Cigar Pictures gallery.  Don’t be shy – show them off!
