There’s nothing better than smoking a cigar filled with great tobacco.  There may come times where you will want to share your wonderful (or not-so wonderful) smoking experiences with others.  This how-to guide will teach you how to write a quality cigar review to help spread the word.

Smoking cigars is one of the most relaxing and rewarding leisurely activities around.  With so many cigars on the market from different brands, however, it may be difficult to figure out which ones are worth passing over and which ones are worth purchasing.  This becomes especially true if you are new to the whole cigar smoking scene.  That’s where the Internet and cigar reviews come to the rescue.

Thanks to handy and informative sites like Puff.com, cigar smokers can join together to share their thoughts on different cigars to give each other recommendations.  If you’ve perused the Puff.com forums for some time now, you have probably run across several cigar reviews that have led you to go out and make some new additions to your humidor.  If you are looking to return the favor and give your firsthand accounts on your own cigar smoking sessions, there are certain things to keep in mind before you take the plunge towards writing your reviews, and here they are.

Where to post it

Puff.com’s forums are loaded with various sub-categories that deal with everything under the sun in the world of cigars.  You can discuss accessories, general questions, legislation, and more.  So, where should you post your new cigar review?  Go here, to the Non-Habanos Reviews section where ONLY reviews are posted: Non-Habanos Reviews

Posting your review here will ensure that it will be seen by those looking for reviews, and it will prevent extra work from the moderators in moving it to the appropriate section.

Photos

They say that a picture is worth a thousand words, so try to include some photos of your cigar in your review.  This helps readers envision the smoking experience as you describe it in words.  It may even help them easily identify it when shopping afterwards.  You can take pictures of the cigar before smoking, as well as while it is being smoked.  Throw in some close-ups of the cigar’s band if you’d like, especially if it is very detailed and eye-catching.
