The designer of the golden Kindle started work at the age of 12, earning £10 a week from a part-time paper round. But the entrepreneurial youngster was soon setting up his first sports business at the age of 15, and eventually branched out into promotion and PA hire for parties and music events. By the time he was 27, he’d also started a cleaning company, a magazine and a mobile phone company, and had spent two years enjoying life as a millionaire. Amosu’s won five awards including Young Entrepreneur of the Year, the Africa’s Best Award, and London African Caribbean Entrepreneur 2004. Between creating the world’s most wanted gadgets and being the number 1 provider of ringtones in the UK, he now spends time helping young businesses and holding inspirational talks in schools and colleges, as well as fronting his own television show on Ben TV, ‘Rich ‘n’ Famous’.

Amosu’s brand is all about living like a VIP, and adding a bit of extra glamour to everyday life. And he’s certainly been a purveyor of glamour since embracing his millionaire lifestyle. He’s been snapped with a long list of famous faces including Snoop Dog, Ne-Yo, Queen Latifah and Kelly Rowland, and he’s even been pictured shaking hands with the President of Ghana. He told Puff: “Wealth is about having things that are unique and exclusive to make you stand out from the crowd. Whilst millions of people will have the Kindle, only 100 will have a gold one in the world.”
He added: “We’re proud to continue bringing luxury products to our consumers who only want the best.” But with only 100 of these limited edition pieces available, those consumers had better act fast: the world’s rich and famous will be dying to get their hands on this most recent creation in a bid to bag another of the designer’s world firsts. And for those who live a life of luxury and glamour, what better way to while away the time than reading books from a gold-plated tablet? A luxurious case to hold the most precious of novels, we reckon this golden e-book reader is set to be a best-seller.
