La Gloria Cubana was one of the most popular brands during the 1990’s. When
founder and creator Ernesto Carillo opened up shop in Miami, he had no idea of
the success that was in store for him. People would line up hours before the
store would open, waiting to taste a cigar that had become a phenomenon. Photo by Michael Sherwood of Stiletto Studios in Clearwater, FL.

Today to meet the incredible demand for his cigars, Ernesto has teamed up
with General Cigar and currently he produces La Gloria Cubana in the Dominican
Republic. Only a handful of cigars are still produced in the Miami factory, and
are made primarily for the local market. La Gloria Cubana’s are medium to full
bodied with a very earthy and spicy aroma. They are just as good today as they
were back in the days of their inception.
