apps1It can be hard to navigate the never-ending maze of new-age phone applications, so we’ve picked out an elite selection of luxury apps designed to help you live the good life. Created by luxury brands from yacht-builders and watch-makers to car manufacturers and private jet charters, these apps will have you living a life of luxury in the click of a button.

Application 1: Hublot Timepieces
Fans of the Swiss fine watch brand Hublot will love their latest iPhone app, which allows users to search for their favourite watch model and view it in 360-degree glory. The app searches for your perfect model based on your specified preferences, and enables users to pick and choose different elements in order to create their own personalised timepieces. But by far the coolest feature of the app is the preview feature which allows you to upload a picture of your wrist so you can see exactly what it would look like - or just dream about owning your perfect watch!

Application 2: Heesen iPad Application
Dutch superyacht manufacturer Heesen have created a state-of-the-art app which allows users to browse an extensive gallery of their latest luxury launches. Comparing up to four yachts at a time, you can read up on the basic specifications of each sea-bound superyacht, from stunning 37-metre boats to luxurious 65-metre floating homes. The first iPad app developed by a superyacht shipyard, it also allows users to email individual portfolios to colleagues and contacts. It can be downloaded for use on both iPads and iPhones, and has an additional preview feature allowing you to view movies and images of all Heesen’s latest projects.

Application 3: Chapman Freeborn
If you’re thinking of alighting in a private jet, this could be the app for you. Launched by the world’s largest aircraft charter broker, this private jet application gives users access to thousands of aircraft worldwide. Drawing on information from the live markets and from user’s individual flight preferences, the application provides quotes and flight times, as well as high resolution photographs and extra info like where to stop for fuel. Users can then submit a request straight to Chapman Freeborn from their handsets, which is sent straight to the company’s global offices - perfect for those spontaneous, last-minute getaways.

Application 4: SafeCell
So you’ve used your app to book a private jet, but what about your on-board mobile phone system? SafeCell have developed an in-flight mobile app which feeds off a phone’s Bluetooth system in order to turn it into a wireless data communicator and entertainment system - basically a working in-flight phone system. This may be the most indulgent app available, if only for the $12,500 price tag, but it’s actually a bit of a bargain considering the price of installing a conventional aircraft mobile system is usually around half-a-million dollars, and is also tied to pricey global roaming networks. The cost-effective app is currently available for Blackberry, Nokia, iPhone and Symbian-based mobiles.

Application 5: A Hedonists Guide To...
This is the perfect app for people who love checking in to ultra-luxe hotels and dining in stylish restaurants. Developed by city-break aficionados HG2, the app provides a selection of reliable guides to help you choose the best bars, hotels and restaurants from 41 cities and ski resorts around the world. Incorporating an Augmented Reality feature, the app allows you to view a 3D map of the city from your mobile - which can be really useful if you get lost while you’re exploring. It also features integrated Foursquare check-in, and provides numbers and websites for each of the venues in the app. The app allows you to browse its features in style, listening to a hand-picked ‘soundtrack to the city’ which you can access through iTunes. You can also use the app to plan an itinerary, share venues through Twitter and Facebook, and sort your options according to the distance from you current location. The first app developed by HG2, this mobile guide to luxury city living is currently only available for the iPhone.
