Washing your clothes properly is key. First off, do not wash them with other clothes. Keep them separate or the smell will permeate the other clothes. I have two tricks that I use, and you can decide which works best for you. The first is to mix in a little Febreeze with my laundry detergent. The second is to pour in some vinegar in your wash. Both of these have worked for me. I would suggest using vinegar if it is a bigger load or if the smell is really strong.
Some people suggest tossing your clothes in the dryer after you smoke without washing them. I say don’t. I have tried it, and it traps the smoke smell in the clothes.
By the way, you might also want to use Febreeze and some vinegar mixed in water on furniture fabric, if you smoke on a lounge chair outside or if you smoke in your car or indoors. Always test a small part of the fabric first to make sure there is no reaction.
Tip #10: Air Filters Are Your Friend
This has more to do with your house than with your personal hygiene, but invest in a good air filter. We have run some reviews and tests on them here at Puff, so you may wish to read up on those. A good air purifier will probably cost you upwards of four hundred dollars, but it is a great investment. It will help eliminate that smell, and more importantly, it will help with your health. Aside from snagging the smoke from the air, it will get out toxins and allergens that are floating around in your house.
