Arturo Fuente – You have probably heard of the brand and some of its popular cigars. If not, today is the day to learn more, as we are about to see what this storied brand has to offer.
Company
Arturo Fuente is a family company that got its official start in the early 1900's in the Ybor City area of Tampa, Florida. Arturo Fuente started the company after leaving Cuba, which is where he first learned the art of making cigars. After he passed, his son, Carlos Fuente, Sr., took control of the company, and decided to move its production to the Dominican Republic in 1980. Carlos Fuente, Sr. and his son, Carlos Jr., currently oversee the company's operations to ensure that its longstanding tradition of quality is met.
Arturo Fuente is one of the most popular brands in the industry, and many of its cigars have been praised by cigar fans and publications alike. Let's take a closer look at the brand's lineup to see what has made it so popular over the years.
Cigar Lines
Gran Reserva

The Gran Reserva carries the distinction of being Fuente's flagship line. The cigar's filler and binder are made up of Dominican tobaccos grown on a private reserve. Only carefully selected leaves are used in the filler and binder. As for the cigar's exterior, it comes in your choice of three different wrappers: African Cameroon, Connecticut Shade, or Ecuadorian Sun Grown. Before being packaged for distribution, Gran Reserva cigars are aged in Spanish cedar vaults.
The Gran Reserva is said to offer consistent flavor and a solid burn. Besides its three different wrapper pairings, the Gran Reserva also comes in nine different sizes to offer cigar fans plenty of options. All nine sizes are offered in boxes of 25.
Chateau Fuente
Fuente's Chateau Fuente line is one of the more popular ones from the brand. It's filler features a special blend of aged Dominican tobaccos. The cigar is offered in a Connecticut Shade, Maduro, or Ecuadorian Sun Grown wrapper, and each comes wrapped in a cedar sleeve as well. One of the newer selections in the Chateau Fuente line, the King T, is the first Fuente cigar to come in a tube. The Chateau Fuente comes in eight different sizes.
