Hemingway

fuentehem

If you enjoy cigars in the Perfecto shape, Arturo Fuente has an entire line dedicated to them. It's called the Hemingway, and it has an impressive lineup of eight different Perfecto cigars. Carlos Fuente Jr.'s inspiration to create the Hemingway line came from watching his grandfather create Perfecto cigars. Perfectos were popular back in the day, but their shape made them difficult to create. As experienced cigar makers left the trade, the Perfecto became sort of a dying breed. Despite the challenge, Carlos Fuente Jr. wanted to revive the Perfecto shape with the Hemingway line.

The Hemingway has a Dominican filler and binder. It's primary wrapper is of the African Cameroon variety, but there is also a limited version that comes with a Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro wrapper. As for the eight different Perfectos in the Hemingway line, here they are: the Short Story, Work of Art, Between the Lines, Best Seller, Signature, Classic, Untold Story, and Masterpiece.

Magnum R

Fuente released the Magnum R line as an attempt to cater to smokers who enjoy cigars with a smooth and pleasant profile. While it may lack powerhouse strength, Fuente did its best to ensure that the Magnum R does not lack flavor, and creaminess and sweetness are said to be in abundance with each puff.

As with many Fuente offerings, the Magnum R's interior is composed of Dominican tobaccos. Its true highlight, however, is its Ecuadorian Rosado Sun Grown wrapper. The wrapper comes from the lower primings of special tobacco plants, and it is aged for approximately ten years to give the cigar extra complexity. Expect plenty of creaminess and sweetness from each of the Magnum R's four sizes.

Fuente Fuente OpusX

Fuente has several cigar lines that are highly regarded, but we have saved the best for last. The OpusX is one of the most famous cigars around. The line has received high ratings across the board, and its exclusivity just adds to its mystique. The pricy OpusX is also known for being the first Dominican puro ever created. It's wrapper is of special importance, as the Dominican Republic was previously seen as an unfit region to grow wrapper tobacco. That was until Carlos Fuente Jr. stepped in and made it happen. Each OpusX is handmade with the highest standards in mind at the Chateau de la Fuente.

The OpusX is classified as full-bodied. It combines power, plenty of flavor, and a unique aroma to give many of those who try it a memorable smoking experience. If you are looking to make an impression for a cigar fan with a nice gift, the OpusX fits the bill. Fuente has produced over 16 different sizes of the OpusX.

That wraps up this closer look at the impressive cigar lineup from Arturo Fuente. Stay tuned for more cigar company profiles in the future.
