We are taking a break from news and reviews today to bring you a profile of Illusione Cigars. Not only does this brand produce quality smokes, but it also has some interesting background behind the naming of its cigars.
The Company
Although Illusione has not been around for a long time, it has made its mark on the cigar industry with some highly-rated selections. The company's founder, Dion Giolito, began in the industry as a cigar shop worker. He held this position for 12 years, after which he decided to open a shop of his own. As time passed, Giolito progressed even further into the industry by creating his own brand of cigars. Giolito created the Illusione brand in an attempt to re-create the strength and full-body of old fashioned Nicaraguan cigars. He has done so successfully, and has produced different lines such as the original Illusione Series, the Cruzado, the Epernay, and the Cuchillos Cubanos.
To get a sampling of what Illusione has to offer, let's take a glimpse into the brand's popular Illusione Series.

Illusione Series
You could say that the Illusione Series helped set the tone for the brand, and it did so with plenty of success. Several cigars in the Illusione Series earned high ratings from publications. This rather bold line was not created in huge quantities. Instead, it was created in small batches to ensure quality and attention to detail. Illusione claims that this original series is currently the only authentic small batch cigar that is in production.
The Illusione Series has several cigars within its line, many of which have very short names. While the names may be short, most of them have a special meaning behind them, and Dion Giolito explains some of the meanings on the company's website. Let's take a closer look at some of the selections that the Illusione Series has to offer.
