La Flor Dominicana is a brand that has put out several highly-rated cigars through the years. While it has plenty of lines that pack a punch, La Flor Dominicana also has milder offerings to suit smokers of all levels. Keep reading to find out more about the various lines La Flor Dominicana has under its belt to see if any catch your eye.
Premium Line

The Premium Line was originally launched in 1994 and holds the distinction of being Litto Gomez’ first release under the La Flor Dominicana name. The cigar’s interior consists of a Dominican filler and binder. As for the wrapper, you can choose from a mild Connecticut Shade version or a stronger Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro that puts the cigar on a level of medium-bodied strength. The Premium Line Connecticut is offered in five sizes (4 x 40 Macheteros, 5 x 48 Maceo, 5 ½ x 42 Insurrectos, 6 ½ x 44 Alcalde, 6 7/8 x 48 Mambises), while the Maduro is offered in three (6 1/4 x 52 No. 5, 5 ¾ x 54 No. 6, and 5 ½ x 42 No. 7).
Salomon
The Salomon line consists of a uniquely shaped cigar that is done to perfection. The cigar’s filler and binder use aged 2004 and 2005 Dominican tobacco from the company’s La Canela farm. The wrapper is also aged, but of the Habano variety. The blend results in a superb, complex cigar with notes of leather, cocoa, and cherry.
Reserva Especial
The Reserva Especial is a highly-rated line that is medium to full-bodied in strength. Dominican Piloto Cubano filler lines the interior of the cigar, and a Nicaraguan binder comes next. The wrapper comes in your choice of Ecuadorian Connecticut or Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro.
If you are looking for something light, give the Reserva Especial Natural version a try, which offers up notes of earth and vanilla, to name a couple. Veteran smokers will enjoy the Maduro version and its peppery profile. The Natural version comes in five sizes, while the Maduro comes in a small 4 ½ x 32-54 size, dubbed El Jocko. It not only packs a punch, but is also ideal as a quick smoke while on your lunch break.
