Padron Series

The Padron Series is the brand's original line. It was released in 1964, which was also the brand's inaugural year. The Padron Series is considered on of the brand's best values, with most singles selling around the $5 mark. The line has also seen some changes since its introduction well over 40 years ago. Several of the line's vitolas have received critical praise from respected publications in the industry, although it appears as if that is nothing new for Padron.
Each cigar in the medium to full-bodied Padron Series is made up of Habano Sun Grown tobacco. The tobacco is aged for at least two and a half years before the cigars are released. Smokers can choose between a Natural or Maduro wrapper, and there are plenty of sizes to choose from. Selections available from the Padron Series include the 4 ¼ x 35 Corticos, the 4 7/8 x 46 Delicias, the 5 x 50 2000, the 5 11/2 x 42 Londres, the 5 ½ x 52 3000, the 5 ½ x 56 5000, the 5 ½ x 52 6000, the 6 1/16 x 42 Palmas, the 6 ¼ x 60 7000, the 6 ½ x 54 4000, the ultra-thin 6 7/8 x 36 Panetela, the 6 7/8 x 42 Ambassador, the 6 7/8 x 46 Churchill, the 7 ½ x 50 Executive, and the super-long 9 x 50 Magnum.
Padron 1964 Anniversary Series

Introduced in 1994, the 1964 Anniversary Series was released to celebrate Padron's 30th year in the cigar industry. The line has received high ratings from critics, and is one of the most popular selections from the brand. The line is very limited and not always the easiest to find. Although its popularity might lead counterfeiters to try to sell phony replicas of the 1964 Anniversary Series, Padron has counteracted this by labeling each cigar with its own unique number. This not only adds some peace of mind, but also lets you know that you are smoking a rare and limited cigar.
Each 1964 Anniversary Series cigar is made of Nicaraguan Sun Grown tobacco that has been aged for four years. The aging process allows the cigars to gain extra complexity, and it also allows them to offer a smoother profile. Strength-wise, the 1964 is slated as being medium to full-bodied. Like the original Padron series, Padron offers this line in either a Natural Sun Grown or a Maduro wrapper, and each carries a box-pressed shape. There are ten different sizes to choose from: the 4 ½ x 46 Principe, the 5 ½ x 50 Exclusivo, the 6 x 42 Corona, the 6 x 52 Torpedo, the 6 x 54 Imperial, the 6 ½ x 42 Superior, the 6 ½ x 46 Monarca, the unique 6 7/8 x 52 x 42 Pyramide, the 7 x 50 Diplomatico, and the gargantuan 8 ¼ x 50 “A.”
