Paul Garmirian Soiree

pgsoiree

The Soiree line is another attempt by Paul Garmirian to duplicate the smoking experience offered by Cuban cigars from the 1950's. The Soiree label seems to fit well, as the was created for those searching for a worthy and elegant post-dinner treat.

Listed as full-bodied, the Soiree has a filler and binder of aged Dominican tobaccos. The wrapper is Nicaraguan Colorado. The line comes in four different sizes: the 4 x 50 Short Robusto, 5 x 50 Robusto, 6 x 50 Connoisseur, and 6 1/4 x 52 Belicoso. Each size comes packaged in boxes of 25. Depending on size, the Soiree has a suggested retail price of $9 to $12 per single.

Paul Garmirian Gourmet Series 15th Anniversary

The Gourmet Series 15th Anniversary debuted in 2005 to commemorate Paul Garmirian's 15 years in the industry. The cigar was originally slated as a limited release, as only 15,000 cigars were divided among the top 50 Paul Garmirian authorized retailers. The cigar quickly grew in popularity, however, and a high demand prompted the brand to convert the 15th Anniversary into a full-fledged line.

Each 15th Anniversary has a filler and binder of Dominican tobaccos that have been aged for five years, while the dark wrapper is of the Nicaraguan Colorado variety. The 15th Anniversary should appeal to more experienced smokers who enjoy full-bodied cigars in the mold of traditional Cuban cigars from the 1950's. The line has ten different sizes, ranging from the tiny 3 1/2 x 43 Bombones to the gigantic 9 x 50 Celebration.

Paul Garmirian Symphony 20

pgsymph20

Davidoff's Hendrik Kelner and Eladio Diaz were instrumental in the creation of the Symphony 20. The Symphony 20 was released in 2010 to celebrate Paul Garmirian's 20th anniversary as a company, and also as a followup to the brand's Gourmet Series 15th Anniversary cigar. While topping the Gourmet Series 15th Anniversary is a tall order, the Symphony 20 is definitely up to the task. The cigar gained its musical moniker as a reference to an article that compared the entire cigar making process to that of composing a symphony.

The full-bodied Symphony 20 comes in one shape, the 6 x 52 Connoisseur. Its filler is a blend of four complex tobaccos, and the binder is Havana Seed. A dark and oily wrapper coats the exterior. The available descriptions of the Symphony 20's composition do reveal many more details. According to the company's website, the wrapper is the greatest they have ever seen.

The Symphony 20 comes in boxes of 20. Each single has a retail price of $17. Its distribution is extremely limited, and it was only made available at select brick and mortar shops across the United States.
