Exodus 1959

1959 was the year in which Carlos Toraño left Cuba to begin his new life abroad. He was part of a mass exodus of Cubans that left their home soil due to the Communist Revolution, and this particular line was created in memory of that trying time. The Exodus 1959 is not only special for what it stands for, however, as the cigar was good enough to be called one of the top cigars of 2006.
The Exodus 1959 has quite the global composition, beginning with its filler blend of tobaccos from Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Honduras, Mexico, and Nicaragua. Its binder is Honduran, and a Nicaraguan wrapper is the final piece of the puzzle. Expect a smooth and rich smoking experience from this medium-bodied cigar. It comes in four sizes: the 6 x 50 Gold Toro, 6 1/2 x 46 Gold Tubo, 6 3/4 x 47 Gold Churchill, and 7 x 50 Gold Double Corona.
Exodus 1959 50 Years
Toraño keeps the highly rated cigars coming with its Exodus 1959 50 Years line. It's a followup to the original Exodus, and it was released as an anniversary cigar 50 years after the Cuban Communist Revolution that took place in 1959.
The cigar itself features a filler blend of sweet Nicaraguan Esteli and Pueblo Nuevo tobaccos. The binder is Honduran, and a spicy Brazilian Arapiraca Sun Grown wrapper tops things off. The Exodus 1959 50 years is said to offer plenty of complexity, with flavors such as spice, dark chocolate, leather, raisin, and more. Look for the cigar in one of the four following sizes: the 5 x 50 Robusto, 5 x 55 Box Pressed, 5 1/2 x 52 Torpedo, and 6 x 48 Churchill.
Exodus 1959 Silver Edition
The 1959 Silver Edition is the third of Toraño's Exodus trio. This beautiful cigar has a filler blend of tobaccos from Costa Rica, Honduras, and Mexico. The binder is also Costa Rican, while the wrapper is Nicaraguan. The final result is a medium to full-bodied smoke with plenty of complexity. Citrus and wood are just two of the many flavors you may experience while smoking the Exodus 1959 Silver Edition.
