Humidor 5: St Dupont’s Ligne 2 Liberte

St Dupont’s latest humidor is a chocolate-brown, calf-skin box big enough to hold 75 cigars. Part of the Ligne 2 Liberte accessory range, it has a unique, air-cushion effect lid designed to provide absolute air-tight locking. Entirely hand-made and hand-polished, this humidor is the epitome of luxury. And if you want to go the whole hog, there’s a new, sleek black travel humidor and matching lighter you can also get your hands on.

Humidor 6: The Bamboo Box

Genco Berk’s Chinese inspired humidor is a beautiful bamboo cylinder with a black-gloss top. Using Eastern philosophies as a design platform, the lid and cigar storage compartments represent the power of heaven and earth. The finish of the lid, which has a bronze mirror set into black lacquer, is a homage to traditional Chinese lacquering techniques. Only 300 of these exceptional humidors have been created by the designer as part of the limited edition range. And as if it needed to be any more tempting, each one comes with a square stainless steel plate fitted into the bottom of the humidor which bears a unique serial number, as well as the owner’s name.

Humidor 7: Linley’s Limited Edition
Okay so we’re cheating a bit here - it’s not just one humidor, it’s actually five. Designer David Linley has joined forces with Hunters and Frankau to produce five limited edition pieces for the true cigar connoisseur. Abandoning all traditional humidor conventions, these boxes are anything but box-shaped, with two humidors modelled on Havana’s Partagas and Laguito cigar factories. These grown-up doll houses are a treasure trove of draws and lids revealing cigars, cutters and everything else you could possibly dream of. The Laguito humidor even has four secret compartments - one of which has not yet been revealed to anybody! While the Laguito houses a rare selection of Cohiba cigars, the Partagas hides limited edition Partagas Series D stogies. Using exotic materials from bird’s eye maple to Indian ebony, these really are exquisite pieces of craftsmanship, with only one of each having ever been created!

And it doesn’t stop there... Linley has also designed a humidor in the shape of a rippling Cuban flag. 50 of these cases were designed to mark the 50th anniversary of the Cuban revolution. With a marquetry flag design made from ripple sycamore and satin walnut, as well as a polished nickel escutcheon plate, this unique humidor can hold up to 50 cigars within its five compartments. All five humidors - including two more draw-filled, vertical boxes painted with New York and London skylines -  use the latest Cigar Spa Humidification technology. With one-button humidity adjustment, an integral water container which can regulate humidity for up to four months, and a mere 4 AA battery power system, it’s a highly sophisticated and exceptionally artistic range of humidors.
