I actually registered on Cigar-Mafia to comment on an idiotic chat they were having about CRA. Well, now I’m “banned” from their chat rooms! I feel as good about that as I did when I got a Merit Badge from the Boy Scouts! For you edification, here’s what I posted...

I actually just registered with CigarMafia to contribute a thought regarding the ludicrous CRA debate. To be very frank, I'm turned off by names that associate the genteel art with asocial and/or anti-social aspects of our society. Ergo, Cigar  Mafia has as much appeal to me as the bright idea of some schmuck to create a cigar internet selling site called, Cigar Pimp.

Be that as it may; those of you who think that you really have a choice about CRA do not understand what this is all about. What started as a 'health issue' (The Surgeon General's Report - on cigarette smoking - in 1964) has become social engineering. If you think that all these taxes are simply about revenue - you are viewing the situation with one (1) eye, or perhaps only a double digit IQ.

The government - Federal, State, County, City, will take the revenue these taxes yield, until the cigar industry is ground into nothing! That is the goal of the anti-smoking crowd. NO SMOKERS!

CRA is our only hope; and if you can't afford thirty-five bucks...how the phuck can you afford to smoke! You're another one of those people, in every sphere of society that would rather complain than take action.

One day there will be no cigars; but, that's okay - there will be no place we are allowed to smoke them anyway.

I heartily commend to you, a poem written by Friedrich Martin Gustav Emil Niemoller, a German Protestant Pastor in 1946, referring to the Nazi era he had lived through.
