Well well well. Looks like I have picked up another passion.
I had my first ever bowl of pipe baccy at SH II courtesy of -- you guessed it -- Bruce. What was it? No clue! But I liked it. Since then, I came here and read. And read.
And read some more.
Then JPH gives me a few bowls, spoils me with some vintage stuff, and now all of a sudden I am on a quest of my own. A new quest. A quest of everything pipes.
So I ordered a nice little Stanwell estate and some Bentley lighters from Frenchy. He of course included the "freebie" pack of cleaners, tools, a cob, etc. Thanks Frenchy!
I ordered the following tins after reading some reviews here in tandem with those at tobaccoreviews: Dunhill My Mixture 965, Davidoff Royalty (I heard this was the only widely available Davi tabak worth purchasing...I'll let you all know what I think of it), and some McC Blackwoods Flake. Also got an aged tin of Momoyama from eBay which isn't here yet.
So gents, please welcome me into your little hole down here. I am in the same position now as I was with cigars many years ago...so I am still very impressionable and will welcome any suggestions or tips!
Happy smoking,
Todd
