I haven't smoked much lately, maybe three cigars in the past month (before this weekend, that is). The wife is away this weekend so it is just me and the kids.
I was itchin' for a smoke yesterday afternoon so I pulled out a Padron 64 natural (not sure of the size, it was a box pressed robusto-type) and poured a little glass of dark rum.
Let me just say that I enjoyed this probably better than any other smoke I have ever had. I just had to close my eyes and take in the aroma and the first relaxing moment I have had since I can remember. I enjoy the social aspects of cigars but this was just a nice private moment. I am not even sure any other smoking experience will live up to it. It wasn't only the fact that it was a Padron (although I think that had a lot to do with it), it was everything coming together in just the right way.
I also enjoyed the LFD DL660 later that night and the casa torano this morning. Making up for lost time!
