I bought an Estate pipe off of eBay that was listed as being Meerschaum lined. It's a Coronation, made in Italy, nice little briar. I ended up with $16 invested in it with shipping and all so I didn't feel too bad. But when it arrived I found that the Meerschaum was coming apart in the bottom of the bowl and figured the pipe was pretty much junk. I contacted the seller (dlsselph46) and she proceeded to get her drawers all in a wad, got offended, and in the end refunded my money and told me to keep the pipe.

So what do you think I did? Correct! I carefully chipped up and excavated the remaining lining and I'm gonna try to smoke the pipe. Has anyone else ever tried this? The bowl is pretty thin now but I figure if I can ever get cake to build up it may be okay. What do you all think?
