Maybe not. The fact that Popeye relied on (plant-based) steroids takes a lot of the gloss off his formerly good reputation. Plus, Angel Eyes only lost to Blondie in the graveyard shootout because Blondie had secretly unloaded Duco's revolver the night before; that changed the odds tremendously in Blondie's favor. This also proves that cheaters DO win, which is why Lee Van Cleef would whip Popeye in a street fight. IMHO.
